 | Monica Kellogg Managing Partner Monica earned her Bachelor and Master of Businesses Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Pittsburg State University in 1991 and 1992, respectively. Upon graduation, she accepted a position as an auditor with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Inspector General in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1995, she returned to Pittsburg and continued her career in auditing as the first internal auditor at Pittsburg State University. | Jerry Mitchell, CPA Audit Consultant Jerry D. Mitchell is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Governmental Financial Manager. He has a Bachelors of Science in Economics and a Minor in Accounting from Missouri State University. Jerry specializes in audits of cities, schools and not for profit agencies. He is currently the President of the Ozarks Chapter of Governmental Accountants Association. And previously was the Director of Finance for the City of Republic, Missouri and former staff auditor with Missouri State Auditor’s Office. | |
 | Mike Hanika Staff Accountant After a lengthy tenure in the construction industry, Mike decided to return to school and pursue a degree in accounting. He successfully juggled a professional career, school and family and earned his Bachelor of Businesses Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Pittsburg State University (PSU) in May 2011. Immediately following graduation, Mike accepted a staff accountant position with a small firm in Overland Park, KS where he held the position of Staff Accountant. It only took a short time for Mike, and his wife, Tammi, to decide they missed home and return to Pittsburg to raise their young sons, Luke and Spencer. Fortunately, we were able to convince Mike to return to our team – as he worked as an intern for us while attending PSU. Mike’s experience in cost accounting and budgeting in the construction industry enhance the services we offer to our contractor clients as well as other small businesses. Serving as a manager on several high level, construction projects, Mike gained hands-on experience in achieving profitability. He is eager to share his experiences to help promote our clients’ financial success. Mike also has three grown children, Connie, Christy, and Joe. |
